About Melanie Gann

Melanie Gann, a Denver native and the owner of Groundswell, has been working on political campaigns in Colorado for over 15 years. During that time, she has worked on dozens of local, state, and national campaigns for candidates, issues, and community projects.

Melanie began her work on campaigns while she was in college at the University of Colorado Denver. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Melanie was a campus organizer for the local non-profit COPIRG, and also directed a summer office of over 100 canvassers for Environment Colorado. Subsequently, Melanie has worked with many grassroots organizations such as COLOR (Colorado Organization for Latina Opportunity and Reproductive Rights), Working America AFL-CIO, AFSCME, and the House Majority Project, where she developed a well-rounded approach to running an effective canvassing operation.

After gathering a wealth of experience through working with other outreach organizations, Melanie started her own canvassing firm in 2015.  She has a true passion for the field and the art of direct voter contact.
